Apartment Alpensterns location in Grossarltal
Our apartment Alpenstern is located right beside a ski slope. It sits on a little hill and allows beautiful panoramic views of Grossarl.
Departing directly from the house you can ski either to the 6 person panorama lift or the 10 person kieserl lift.
At night you can get back to the house on skis as well.
Your car is on vacation!
It only takes you 5-10 minutes to walk to the center of Unternberg.
Arrival by train
Train station "St. Johann im Pongau" , "Bischofshofen" or "Schwarzach". From there you have to take a bus or hire a taxi. We can also arrange for you to be picked up at the train station. Just let us know!
Arrival by car
You get here taking the A10, the "Tauernautobahn". Exit at "Bischofshofen - Richtung St. Johann im Pongau". In St. Johann you take a turn to "Grossarl". After 15 km (9 miles) you get to the exit "Unternberg/Nord", follow the street for about 500m (0,3 miles), take a right turn after a little bridge (sign!). Now you can already see the "Alpenstern".
Arrival in winter: Although the short dirt-road that leads to the house is cleared and graveled, in case of fresh snow, it still might be neccessary to use snow-chains. If you do not have chains, you should have a tow hook for your car. This way we can tow you with our tractor. (please have the tow hook ready!!!)
